We were born,
And then we were wounded
And now we must heal.
We must heal before we die.
I am lost.
An explorer without a map, no backpack and my
Heart and head as my compass rose…my broken heart.
And I’ve traveled far.
Over fields, highways, prairies and mountains,
Through barrios and ghettos, I’ve seen devils dressed as Pharaohs
And I’ve been through it all…alone.
I once attempted to find a partner,
Someone to help me navigate latitudes and circumferences
But no one has brought any expertise,
Just failure and confusion and therefore
I have come to the conclusion that I must remain alone.
I must explore the girth and width and height and depth of my life alone.
The pain and fear and beauty and pleasure,
The trails and trials,
The lengths no one can measure,
Can not be shared as they are just to be experienced.
EXPERIENCED EXQUISITELY AS INDIVIDUALS
SEPARATELY YET INDIVISIBLE
AS A WHOLE YET ALONE.
